The Five Pillars

1. The .history Purge (188 files, -52,329 lines) VS Code's Local History extension had been silently committing timestamped copies of every file edit. The .gitignore Fix

Two negative globs added: !scripts/build/ and !scripts/diagnostics/. Without these, the existing build/ and diagnostics/ ignore rules would have swallowed the newly created script subdirectories.
